Terms of service
Service
Latchkey provides a local secrets vault (CLI and related tooling) plus optional hosted features such as licence validation, checkout, and documentation on this website. Features available to you depend on your active subscription or purchase.
Subscriptions and pricing
All prices are quoted in GBP and charged through Stripe. There is no free tier for paid plans: access to subscription entitlements requires an active paid plan or time-limited trial where explicitly offered in the product.
Current published plans (subject to change on the Pricing page):
- Solo: £4.99/month
- Pro: £15.00/month
- Team: £60.00/month
- Business: £124.00/month
- Leak scan: £2.99 one-time
Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until you cancel through the customer portal or by contacting us. One-time purchases (such as leak scan) are non-recurring unless stated otherwise at checkout.
Account and licence
You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and licence keys. You may not share licences in a way that exceeds the device or vault limits of your plan. We may suspend access if we reasonably believe your account is abused or used to violate these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for unlawful activity or to store malware payloads.
- Attempt to bypass licence checks, rate limits, or security controls.
- Reverse engineer the service solely to replicate paid entitlements without payment.
- Overload our infrastructure with automated traffic unrelated to normal product use.
Software disclaimer
The CLI and vault are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for backups of your vault, master key recovery, and compliance with your API providers' terms. See the Security page for encryption boundaries and known limits — not a warranty of fitness for a particular regulated environment.
Refunds
Refund requests are handled case by case in line with UK consumer regulations where they apply. Contact us promptly if you believe a charge was made in error.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yusuf Choudhury is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from use of the software — including leaked API keys outside our control. Our aggregate liability for hosted services is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in the United Kingdom have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence where applicable.
